Choosing a name that truly represented my work and purpose wasn’t easy. I prayed, reflected, and waited for something to feel right.

Let me take you back for a moment. When I was in 5th grade, my sister, Chanissa Leigh, passed away from leukemia. Her middle name, Leigh, became the first part of my studio’s name—a way to carry her memory with me in everything I do.

The word Hill came to me soon after. Life has brought many hills—challenges, struggles, and moments of growth. Some I’ve overcome, others continue to shape me. Together, Leigh Hill symbolizes love, remembrance, and resilience. And so, Leigh Hill Studios was born.

The photo above is one of my most treasured—it’s one of the last pictures I have with my sister. As a photographer, my mission is to preserve moments like that for others: the ones you’ll want to revisit when memories begin to fade.
